I have really been wanting to try my hand at apple pies. I think I made one a few years ago but I’m not sure and I haven’t made one with Malcolm by my side. I am not one to just do the expected so I found a little twist to apply and decided to make individual apple pies. The recipe I found was for making the pies in muffin pans but those were just too little for me. Luckily, I found small pie tins at the grocery store – they are the perfect size! This mini-pie recipe called for making your own crust too but I already had pie crust in my fridge for something else that didn’t get made. So all we had to do was prepare the filling and set up the pies. I peeled the apples and Malcolm cut them up. He did a really great job with the knife.
We had fun making designs for our pies but our favorites were the woven ones. They were really tasty too. Worth a try!

Yum! Now that’s inspiring!
Thanks! We had a great time making them!
